6 Real Price Drops We Actually Tracked

Last post I wrote about listings where our tracking couldn't confirm a discount either way, because the price had never moved since we found it. This one is the opposite. These six actually moved, on our own logs, not just on the seller's “original price” label.

For each one below: the peak price we ever recorded, what it costs right now, and the real percentage drop between those two numbers, which is our own measurement, not the seller's claimed discount.

We first saw this at $181.99, watched it spike to $315.69, then settle at $183.99, where it sits now. That peak-to-now drop is a real 41.7% off, measured across four separate checks. 4. Lattafa Pride Shaheen perfume, tracked down 14.4%

This one has the longest history of the six, 22 separate checks since we started watching it. The price crept down slowly, a few cents at a time, from a $27.35 peak to $23.42 today. The pattern worth noticing

None of these six real percentages match the discount badge the seller shows. That's expected, their number is against a claimed original price, ours is against the highest price we've personally watched the item hold. Neither number is more “official” than the other. The difference is that we can show you ours happened, check by check, with real dates attached. That's the whole reason this tracking exists.
