What this site collects

Nothing. Half or Nothing is a static page. There is no database, no form, and no script on this site that records anything about visitors. The only JavaScript on the page handles search, sorting and category filtering for the deals grid, and it runs entirely in your browser.

Where This Site Is Hosted and What Its Logs Contain

This site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like nearly all web hosting, GitHub's servers may log standard technical request information (IP address, browser user-agent, time of request) for security and operational purposes. I don't have access to those logs and don't use them. GitHub's own privacy practices are described in the GitHub Privacy Statement.

Affiliate links and third parties

This is the part that matters, so it's stated plainly:

Some product links on this site are affiliate links. When you click one, you leave this site and the destination retailer takes over. Those retailers, and the affiliate networks that handle their programs, will typically set their own cookies or tracking identifiers to attribute the visit and any resulting purchase.

That tracking is theirs, not mine. I don't control it, don't receive your personal information from it, and can't turn it off. What I see is aggregate commission reporting, not who you are or what you personally bought.

Each of those companies publishes its own privacy policy governing what it collects once you arrive on their site. If you want to limit that tracking, standard browser cookie controls and privacy extensions apply to it the same way they apply to any other site.

Where Product Photos Come From

Product thumbnails on this site are loaded directly from the retailers' own image servers. This means your browser makes a request to those servers when the page loads, and those servers can see that request. This is standard for any page displaying retailer product images.

This Site Isn't Directed at Children

This site isn't directed at children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect information from anyone.

What You Can Access, Correct, or Delete

Since no personal data is collected or stored by this site, there's nothing held about you to access, correct, or delete. For data the retailers or affiliate networks collect after you click through, contact them directly. Their policies govern that.

How You'll Know If This Policy Changes

If this site ever starts collecting anything, analytics, an email list, anything at all, this page gets updated before that goes live, and the date above changes.
