Prime Big Deal Days is Amazon's two-day, Prime-members-only sale in October, the fall counterpart to Amazon's summer Prime Day. In 2026 it runs October 6 and 7, starting at 12:01 a.m. PDT, with 48 hours of deals across more than 35 categories (source: Amazon News).
Here's the thing about big sale events: a lot of the "deals" are the same prices you could get any other week, wrapped in a red badge. So instead of waiting for the banners, I went looking for products people are actually buying right now that already clear our bar: 50% off or more, today. I started with Amazon listings showing hundreds to thousands of purchases in the past month and kept the ones from brands you'd recognize. Then I opened every single page myself to confirm the discount was real and live. It's the same live-checking process behind every guide on this site.
26 products went in. 18 passed. Four sat under 50% once I loaded the real page or didn't show a price at all. Four more landed on exactly 50%, which is too close to call when prices move during a sale. Of the 18 that passed, 15 made this list, along with a carpet cleaner that passed the same checks. The last two are our own finds, at the end, each with a note on what's different about it.
Prices below are the ones I verified on Amazon on October 3, 2026. They change fast, so each product's card further down always shows the current price.
The check happened on Saturday, October 3, 2026, three days before the event, on a signed-in Amazon account shipping to a Texas ZIP code, since Amazon can show different prices by delivery location.
Every product on this list had to pass four checks:
1. Real demand. Each one showed hundreds to thousands of purchases in the past month on Amazon's own listing. No obscure listings with three reviews. 2. Strong ratings. 4.3 stars or higher, with at least a few hundred reviews behind the score. 3. 50% off or more, live. I loaded every product page while signed in. I checked the actual price against the list price Amazon shows on the page. Anything below 50% was cut, even if a deal site said otherwise. 4. In stock. Nothing with a "only 1 left" warning, since those tend to be gone before you get there.
One more filter cost me a few good products: anything sitting at exactly 50% got dropped. During a two-day sale prices tick up and down, and a 50% deal can become a 48% deal by lunch. That's our editorial rule on every page of this site: 50% off or it doesn't make the page. You can read more on our about us page, and if you spot a price that changed, contact us and I'll recheck it.
The best discount from my bestseller check is a set of drill bits. DEWALT's FlexTorq impact bit set is the kind of thing that lives in every toolbox, and it was the steepest markdown I found among the 26 products I checked.
The Stalwart roadside kit is the boring purchase you're glad you made the night your battery dies. It packs basics such as jumper cables, a tire pressure gauge, gloves and a few hand tools in one hard case for the trunk.
Three bottles cleared the bar, two of them Versace.
Versace Eros in the Parfum concentration, not the more common Eau de Toilette. Same mint and vanilla idea, in a stronger concentration.
Bright Crystal is the safe floral: pomegranate, magnolia and lotus, warmed with musk and amber. It's one of those bottles that works as a gift when you don't know someone's taste.
Lattafa's Fakhar Platin rounds it out: citrus up front, spice and aromatic woods underneath, at a price that's easy to try.
If fragrance is your thing, our verified perfume dupes guide goes deeper.
L'Oreal's Revitalift serum is a drugstore exfoliating serum built on 10% glycolic acid. One honest note: glycolic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid, and the FDA says AHAs can increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun, so use sunscreen while you're using it (source: FDA).
The Conair triple barrel waver presses continuous waves into your hair, a beach-wave look you can do at home.
This Wet Brush is a palm-sized boar-bristle brush made for beards and short hair, built to separate knots without yanking.
Natural Vitality Calm is a magnesium powder you stir into warm water. As with any supplement, check with your doctor first if you take medication.
OtterBox Commuter cases came up three times, one for each iPhone generation. The Commuter is OtterBox's dual-layer case: a soft inner layer covered by a hard shell, in a slim profile (source: OtterBox). Pick the one that matches your phone.
iPhone 14 and iPhone 13:
iPhone 15 Plus and iPhone 14 Plus:
iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro:
If you're starting on holiday gifts early, three kids' picks made the list.
Melissa & Doug's Vroom & Zoom dashboard is a pretend-driving toy with a steering wheel, horn and lights.
The Melissa & Doug Ms. Rachel learning toy uses characters toddlers already know from the show, with letters, numbers and games.
The VTech Bluey Wackadoo Watch is a first watch with Bluey games, a timer and an alarm.
The biggest markdown on the whole page is a portable carpet and upholstery cleaner. It's a compact spot cleaner with 15Kpa suction, a dual-size brush head and a self-cleaning system, made for rugs, pet messes, couches, stairs and car seats. It's an Amazon's Choice pick, ships from Amazon, and showed a limited-time deal when I checked.
These two didn't come from the bestseller scan. We found them ourselves and checked them live on October 3, 2026, and each one has a catch worth knowing about before you click.
The KIRUNDO long open-front cardigan is an oversized knit with ruffled long sleeves, a fall layer that comes in a long list of colors. The page price alone is about 41% off. To get it to 50% off or more, enter code KLWKHUX2 at checkout. We applied it at checkout ourselves on the brown, size medium: $32.99 dropped to $16.49. Its rating is also lower than the rest of this list, 4.0 stars on about 90 reviews.
The Aquasana whole-house well water filter is the big-ticket item here. Aquasana rates this system for 500,000 gallons, with a UV stage, carbon and KDF filtration, salt-free scale control and a 5-year warranty. It's an Amazon's Choice pick with 4.3 stars on about 700 reviews. The catch: it sits at exactly 50% off, the line I used to cut products from the main list, so check the card for the current price before you buy.
Prime Big Deal Days deals are for Prime members. Amazon says plainly that you need a Prime membership to shop all the deals during the event (source: Amazon News). If you're not a member yet, you can check whether you're eligible for a free trial, and if you're 18 to 24 or a college student, look at Prime for Young Adults first.
We put together a longer guide to every Amazon free trial and member perk if you want the full picture.
A few habits that will save you money during the event:
We wrote a whole post on what counts as a real 50% off if you want the longer version.
October 6 and 7, 2026. It starts at 12:01 a.m. PDT on October 6 and runs for 48 hours.
You need Prime to shop the Prime Big Deal Days event deals. The products on this list were already 50% off or more before the event started, but some Amazon discounts are Prime-only, so the price you see can depend on your membership.
They might drop further, stay the same, or go back up. Every product card on this page loads Amazon's live price, so what you see on the card is the current price, not the price from the day I checked.
In the bestseller set I started from, the only electronics item was a Bluetooth record player, and it sat at exactly 50% off, so it didn't make the cut. If big electronics reach a real 50% off during the event, I'll add them.
Every pick we've pulled at 50% off or more, in one place.
