Halloween is the one holiday where Americans spend real money on things that live in a closet eleven months a year. The National Retail Federation expects Halloween spending to reach $13.5 billion in 2026, with 74% of people planning to celebrate. Half of consumers plan to dress in costume and 42% plan to decorate their home or yard (source: NRF).

That's a lot of plastic ghosts bought at full price. So I went through both places we track deals, Amazon and eBay. I kept only what was 50% off or more on October 3, 2026, checked live on the actual product pages.

The Amazon side is the part you'd expect: decorations and costumes. The eBay side is where it got fun. There's a real perfume line literally called Halloween, and a whole category of watches named after the skeleton.

The Amazon Picks at a Glance

How I Picked These

The check happened on Saturday, October 3, 2026. On Amazon I was signed in and shipping to a Texas ZIP code, since Amazon can show different prices by delivery location.

On Amazon, every product had to be 50% off or more against the list price on the page, rated 4.2 stars or higher, and in stock. All but two have more than 100 reviews. The black cat basket has 73 (4.6 stars) and the ghost bandana has 84 (4.7 stars). I cut anything with an "only 2 left" warning and anything sitting at exactly 50%. Of the 18 Amazon listings I analyzed, 14 made it. A second search just for pet costumes added one more.

On eBay, I opened each listing to confirm it was still live at the same price. I only kept sellers with large feedback histories. Leperfect, Perfume Empire, Officialwatchdeals and Jomashop each show tens of thousands of ratings or more.

Decorations

The bloody handprint window clings are the cheapest decoration on this list. You get nine sheets with 67 handprints, footprints and splatters you can stick on windows or glass doors.

For the yard, the JOYIN giant spider is 6.5 feet of hairy spider with LED eyes.

The JOYIN hanging ghost is 47 inches long with a blue LED light and a built-in timer.

This light-up ghost set comes as a pair with a remote. They run on USB or batteries, and each one has a water bag at the base so the wind doesn't knock them over.

For indoors, these three ceramic ghosts light up on a timer, six hours on and 18 off, which makes them easy to leave on a mantel all month.

Costumes for Adults

Leg Avenue made three of the four adult picks, and their skeleton bodysuit is my favorite: a black-and-white bodysuit with a skeleton print that glows in the dark.

The Immortal Mistress costume comes as three pieces: dress, belt and necklace.

If you'd rather go 70s than spooky, the Forplay Foxy Lady disco costume is also a three-piece set.

Spiderweb fishnet tights finish almost any witch, vampire or skeleton look, and these are one size.

Costumes and Treats for Kids

The Rubie's Baby Shark costume is sized for babies and toddlers, and at 75% off it's cheaper than most of the decorations on this page.

A blue princess dress-up for girls, also more than 70% off.

And for the candy run, this black cat basket is soft woven rope with a 3D cat face and a name tag.

One safety note for kids' costumes. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recommends flame-resistant fabrics such as nylon or polyester, or a "Flame Resistant" label, since those resist burning and should go out quickly. It also suggests reflective tape on costumes and treat bags so drivers can see kids after dark (source: CPSC).

For Pets

Pets get costumes too, and this Rubie's bride costume is the steepest discount on the whole Amazon list. It's a dress and headpiece, size medium for pets from 11 to 20 pounds. The listing notes that the costumes run small, so check the size chart.

Full pet costumes at a real 50% off were hard to find. I searched Amazon for dog, cat and pet Halloween costumes and checked every listing that looked like 50% or more. Most turned out to sit at exactly 50%, run low on stock, or show no list price on the product page. If your dog won't tolerate a full costume anyway, this pink ghost bandana was 56% off and fits small, medium or large dogs.

A Perfume Actually Called Halloween

I didn't expect to find this one. Spanish designer Jesús del Pozo launched a perfume called Halloween in 1997, and Fragrantica describes it as an international best-seller that spun off a whole series of flankers (source: Fragrantica). Several versions of it are 59% to 66% off on eBay right now.

A skeleton watch is one where the dial is cut away so you can see the mechanical movement working inside. It's the most Halloween a serious watch gets, and three were well past 50% off on eBay.
